His Holiness the Sakya Trichen (the 41st Sakya Trizin) gave this speech on the auspicious occasion of the book launch for Freeing the Heart and Mind, Volume 2, held at Tsechen Kunchab Ling on June 16, 2018.
In this speech, His Holiness highlights the significance of the two texts compiled in this book, "A Gift of Dharma to Kublai Khan" and "A Garland of Jewels," composed by Drogön Chögyal Phagpa, the fifth Sakya patriarch. These texts offer profound insights to everyone, including Buddhists and non-Buddhists, believers and non-believers. He provided guidance on how both the general audience and seasoned practitioners of the Dharma should approach this book and explained how the advice is relevant to all of us in everyday life.
