The great master Appey Rinpoche was born at Kutse Ser Jong in Derge, Kham. Since young he began his religious training at Kutse Ser Jong Monastery.
Later, he went to Kham-jé Shedra at Dzongsar Monastery, where he completed his studies on all the Dharma scriptures and texts written by both Tibetan and Indian masters.
In 2001 Khenchen Appey Rinpoche established the International Buddhist Academy in Nepal. He entered into parnirvana on December 28, 2010.
