Her Eminence Jetsun Kushok Chimey Luding was born in the Drolma Phodrang of Khön family on the 22nd of the 9th month in 1938 Earth Tiger Year, according to the Tibetan Lunar calendar. She is the eldest sister of His Holiness the Sakya Trichen, the 41st Sakya Trizin.

She began her religious education when she was five. She also did her first retreat when she was ten, whereby she completed one million times of the short mantra and a hundred thousand times of the long mantra of the Vajrapāṇi Bhūtaḍāmara within a month.

At the age of seventeen, she gave her first Lamdré teaching, and therefore became the third women in the Sakya history to give Lamdré teaching.

She is one of the few great yoginis with high attainment in the Tibetan Buddhism tradition. She is also one of the three Sakya women ever to have transmitted the holy Lam Dre teaching.

A completely qualified high master, she is considered an emanation of Vajrayogini.
