Luding Khen Rinpoche (born: c. 1969)

Luding Khen Rinpoche is the seventy-sixth abbot of both Ngor Ewam Chodan Monastery (Ngor Monastery). He is also the abbot for the Sakya Institute of Vajrayana (Sakya Institute).

Luding Khen Rinpoche is a member of the royal Khön Family of the Sakya tradition and is the second son of Her Eminence Jetsun Kushok Chimey Luding, the sister of His Holiness the Sakya Trichen

Luding Khen was selected and trained as the successor for the future Abbot of the Ngor sub-sect of the Sakya Tradition and commenced his monastic training with His Eminence Luding Khenchen Rinpoche (Khenchen Rinpoche) at 10 years of age.

Luding Khen received intensive training in accordance with the Ngor tradition, which is a common requirement for a Tibetan Buddhist lineage holder. In addition to the daily tutelage under the direction of Khenchen Rinpoche, Luding Khen also received numerous teachings and empowerments from His Holiness the Sakya Trichen, the Late Venerable Khenchen Appey Rinpoche and many other esteemed vajra masters.

Luding Khen is highly respected amongst the contemporary lineage holders of all schools of Tibetan Buddhism and is renowned for his sincere kindness and compassion and deep wisdom.
