Ngor Khangsar Shabdrung Ngawang Lodro Tenzin Nyingpo (1933-1958) was born in one of the famous aristocrat families named Sharkhud Pel in Tsang Tanak region in Tibet. He was recognized as a reincarnation of Loter Wangpo, an accomplished master of the secret doctrine and a throne holder of the Ngor, a subsect of the Sakya Order. He was subsequently enthroned as the Shabdrung of Ngor Khangsar monastic Labrang. He was one of the main disciples of Khenchen Ngawang Lodro Shenphen Nyingpo and received empowerments, teachings, and oral transmissions of sutras and tantras in general, and the profound teachings of Lamdre. He bestowed many profound empowerments and oral transmissions such as Lamdre and the Compendium of Sadhanas.
